Comments & Testimonials“Like Heaven”
I was introduced to Mallard Bay Resort about 8-9 years ago ago by my wife’s family who have been coming here for almost 30 years. I hear people say they have that one vacation that they’ll never forget and I have to say that every time we come up to visit that I have this experience. It truly is a remarkable place to stay. It’s right on the water and surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery. Walking around the grounds and on Lagunita Lane is so relaxing. We just got back from a 9 day vacation in Big Bear and stayed here at Mallard Bay Resort (like we would stay anywhere else!) . Can you believe it…we are already planning our next stay here. Over the years we have had nothing but positive experiences with the resort and the staff. We absolutely love coming here and look forward to it every year. Whether it is the summer or the winter we have so much fun! There is so much to do and enjoy here. These cabins are very family friendly with the onsite BBQ’s for family dinners (we love the tables by the lake…great views!), the huge swimming pool, the horseshoe pits, ping-pong tables, the shuffleboard courts, and the available movies and books on hand. Eric and Monique, the owners and managers, are some of the nicest people we have ever met. They are always more than gracious and always looking after the guests and all their needs. We always enjoy talking with them by the pool or at the tables while we’re cooking our dinners. They are always making great recommendations for restaurants and activities outside of the cabins, like pontoon boat rentals from Holloways. The nightly fires are great for talking around and even making smores. Whether it’s the bigger cabins of #11 and #12 or the smaller intimate cabin number 9 we love it here. Even though it’s nice to come home nice and relaxed after a long vacation here, we would rather just not leave at all. Mallard Bay Resort is our little piece of heaven on earth.
