Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We require a minimum of 30 days notice for any cancellations. If we receive notice within the 30 day period there will be a $50 cancellation fee charged in addition to one-half the total stay. The balance will be refunded. If we received less than 30 days notice no refunds of any type will be issued. No refunds will be issued on any cancellations during holiday periods or dates regardless of notification time.

Q: What is your cancellation policy for groups?
A: Groups typically book their space several months in advance, so we block off space accordingly. We require a 50% deposit on all units set aside for your event, with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival. Since we block off the dates and units specifically for your group, no one else will be able to book these cabins. Therefore, there will be no refund of any type in the event of group cancellations. In some cases, individual members of the group will make their own reservation arrangements and these will be treated the same as the group cancellation policy (i.e., there will be no refund issued in the event the entire group reservation is cancelled, nor will any refund be issued for any individual member that drops out of the group event).

Q: Are you pet-friendly?
A: No, I’m sorry but we do not allow pets.

Q: What is your smoking policy?
A: For health and safety purposes, the rooms and grounds are non-smoking areas.

Q: We are planning to rent a room with you but the rest of our family and friends are staying in a rental home up the street. Will they be allowed to come make use of the pool, dock, etc.?
A: Sorry, but no. Our facilities are for the use of our registered guests only.

Q: What time is check-in?
A: Our check-out time is 11:00 AM, so we need to have time to clean the units prior to your arrival. Depending upon the number of units that need to be cleaned, we try to get them all ready by 3PM. If you plan to arrive later, please note that our office closes at 7PM.

Q: If we rent a small cabin from you can the rest of our family come and stay with us? They will bring their own sleeping bags and sleep on the floor.
A: The units can only be occupied up to the stated capacity of the room. For instance, a unit with a queen bed can be occupied by no more than two people. A unit with two queen beds can only be occupied by up to four people, etc.

Q: Do you have barbeques on the premises?
A: Yes, we have a natural gas Weber bbq and a Weber propane bbq. Please do not bring personal charcoal bbqs or hibachis.

Q: What do your kitchens include?
A: Our full kitchen units include an oven/cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, sink, dish rack, silverware and cooking utensils, pots and pans, plates and bowls, glasses and mugs, toaster, coffee maker

Q: Do You Supply Linens and Towels?
A: All rooms come with bathroom and kitchen towels. All of the beds include sheets, pillows, blankets and comforters.

Q: Do You Have Guest Laundry Facilities?
A: Unfortunately we do not have laundry facilities available for our guests.

Q: How Close Are You To Big Bear Village?
A: We are about a half mile from the village. Many of our guests like to walk there in the summer and grab a cup of coffee.

Q: Are You Close To Any Restaurants?
A: The closes restaurant is the Cowboy Steakhouse, about half a mile from us. There are several restaurants in the Village featuring Mexican, Italian, Himalayan and European cuisine….. plus sandwich shops, Jack In The Box, ice cream and candy stores, coffee bars, etc.

Q: What Is There To Do In The Village?
A: There is a bowling alley, penny arcade, a couple of theatres, numerous souvenir shops, art galleries, visitor’s center and more.

Q: How Warm Is The Pool?
A: We have a gas heater and solar cover that keep the pool around 82 degrees.

Q: When Does Your Pool Open?
A: The pool is open from Memorial Day until the end of September.

Q: Do You Have Spas Or Hot Tubs On The Premises Or In The Rooms?
A: We don’t have a spa or hot tub on the property and there aren’t any in the rooms.

Q: Do The Rooms Have Fireplaces?
A: Most of the units have a gas fireplace available from October 1 to April 1. As a conservation measure there is a small utility fee associated with use of the fireplaces.

Q: How Close Are You To The Ski Resorts?
A: We are less than two miles from Snow Summit and around three miles from Bear Mountain. We are located about half a mile from the Alpine Village Snow Play area. And don’t forget we also have a private snow play and sledding area on our property, depending upon the amount of snow we get.

Q: Do You Have Boat Docks and Boat Trailer Parking?
A: Yes, we have a private boat dock that holds up to five boats at a time and we have a boat trailer parking area as well. There is no charge for the use of either one but please let us know if you plan on bringing a boat, kayak or sea-doos so we can make sure there is a spot for you.

Q: Do You Rent Out Boats?
A: The City of Big Bear prohibits us from renting out boats to our guests. There are several marinas close by where you can rent boats, such as Holloway’s Marina or Big Bear Marina. If you rent a boat for the day or overnight you are welcome to store it at our dock during your stay if the marina will allow it.
